The iPhone's Shortcuts application has long presented a user-unfriendly experience, to say the least. Despite its considerable capabilities, it frequently appears awkward and obsolete, as if it hasn't progressed alongside the iOS ecosystem. While other iPhone features have continuously improved, Shortcuts has remained largely stagnant, and not for the better. Navigating it proves particularly irritating for those unacquainted with its mechanics. It represents one of those tools that appears promising conceptually but becomes tedious in actual application. This situation may be on the verge of transformation. With the arrival of iOS 27 and Apple's deepened commitment to artificial intelligence, there exists genuine potential for Shortcuts to evolve into a significantly more instinctive and pleasant utility, rather than an application one only tolerates out of necessity.
